Yes To Grapefruit & Cucumber

Yes To Grapefruit and Cucumber

Yes To! That's what's I'm impressed with this month, because I have made new best friends with their Grapefruit Uneven Skin Tone CC Cream, and Cucumber Soothing Face Wipes. For about a year I have been fully devoted to Madara Moonflower Rose Beige Tinting Fluid (and quite rightly so, it's rather lovely) and I was actually a bit nervous that using a different tinting cream would make my skin have an adverse reaction... thankfully not, and I have been happily reaching for it most days. Yes To Grapefruit What is quite nice about the Yes To Grapefruit CC Cream when compared with the [...]
Green People Gold Shimmer Bronzer

Green People Gold Shimmer Bronzer

My latest, and only natural bronzer in my make-up collection! Until now I have been using only the Warmth loose powder from Bare Minerals to add a little colour to my pale complexion, since learning that my much loved Ecco Bella Flowercolour Blush in Nutmeg contains carmine (so annoying as it was so pretty). I also learned a couple of months back that bismuth oxychloride (CI 77163) is an irritant and synthetic compound which is, and most likely has been, contributing to my skin problems. I have since switched my loose mineral foundation powder to a bismuth oxychloride free brand, and now more [...]
Mavala Twilight Diamonds Duo

Twilight And Diamond Nails

Last month I happened to see this little set at my TKMaxx (always a good green beauty bargain to be found there!) - including two beautiful blue shades from Mavala. I'm still a relative newbie with 'greener' nail polishes, I'm not sure why I always seem to forget to keep a look out for some pretty polishes when browsing online so I was keen to give this cute duo a go! I formed some kind of love for Mavala polishes after finding another of their sets, a trio of neutral shades which I couldn't stop wearing for several weeks. Sadly, they [...]
Vegan Inika Lipsticks

Mission: Natural Bright Red Lip

Following on from my review of my favourite natural and vegan lip salves and the perfect dark vampish vegan lipstick, I have made it my mission to find the 'holy grail' bright red lipstick that is of course sourced from completely natural ingredients and carmine free (that's the hard part). Here are three natural and non-crushed-up-insect lipsticks I have bought and tested over the past month... Left, Inika Rosebud; right, Inika Electric Red Inika Rosebud I'll start with the least sharp red-shade of the three. Whilst I quite like this lipstick for a more earthy-pinky tone, it definitely isn't categorically red. What [...]
Lily Lolo Berry Crush natural lipstick

The Perfect Autumn/Winter Dark Lip

Having over-hauled my beauty and cosmetics products only less than a year ago, I am still building-up my natural make-up collection. This autumn I was determined to find a beautiful dark red lipstick to wear through the colder months just in time for Hallowe'en, Bonfire Night and Christmas. Lily Lolo's Berry Crush is just what I was looking for! A deep cranberry shade, it has a lovely dark pigmentation and applies smoothly over the lips. Before buying, I checked the ingredients carefully to make sure it didn't contain any carmine (personally not a fan of coating my lips with crushed-up [...]
