St Valentine’s Pamper Night

St Valentine’s Pamper Night

I’ve seen a lot of people saying it this St Valentine’s weekend but it’s true – every day should be love yourself day! As it is all lovey dovey today I thought I’d pick out some of my favourite indulging beauty products for an extra special St Valentine’s pamper night. This might be something you’d like to do before getting ready for a date, or getting ready for a night with Netflix. This year I’m afraid it’s just me watching a very dashing Tom Hardy and these treats I bundled up for this post…

St Valentine's Day treats for the ultimate pamper night! #organic #greenbeautyBalm Balm Frankincense CleanserBalm Balm Frankincense Deep Cleansing Balm

I think I’m a bit in love with this organic cleanser from Balm Balm which melts on the skin. It has a delicate fresh slightly citrus scent and takes make-up off like magic. A little goes a long way so don’t be put off by the small jar! I like to use a damp muslin cloth to gently wipe away my make-up and leave my face beautifully soft.

Ingredients

Helianthus annuus (sunflower oil), Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter) Cera alba (beeswax) Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil) Calendula officinalis flower extract, Boswelia neglecta oil, Citrus grandis (grapefruit) peel oil, citral, limonene, linalool

Botanicals-Rose-MaskBotanicals Revitalising Face MaskBotanicals Rose Clay & Rosehip Revitalising Mask

A pamper night isn’t a pamper night without a face mask and this one from Botanicals is very lovely indeed. Made with skin-loving shea butter, rose clay, rosehip oil, rose geranium oil and lavender, the Revitalising Mask* smells delicious. Its soft consistency means it doesn’t harden on the skin, and only needs ten minutes before washing off. 70% organic and packed with acne-fighting ingredients, it’s a current favourite of mine and so far no breakouts!

Ingredients

Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil*, butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, kaolin, glycerine***, cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, rosa canina fruit oil*, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil*, ricinus communis seed oil*, decyl glucoside, camellia sinensis flower extract*, parfum*, rosa centifloia (rose) flower oil*, pelargonium graveolens (rose geranium) flower oil*, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil*, cymbopogon martinii flower oil*, cananga odorata flower oil*, tocopherol, geraniol**, citronellol**, linalool**, limonene**, citral**.  /*Certified organic. **Natural constituents of essential oils. ***Organic origin.

Ynys Mon bath bomb awesomenessYnys Mon Organic Bath Bomb

A true pamper night requires a mandatory bath bomb. And right now, I’m loving Ynys Mon’s bath bomb in Island Garden. With rose, lavender and geranium oils, it takes the bog-standard bath to another level of luxurious self-indulgence. Made with a generous dose of dried rose petals, you can look at them floating around you like little pieces of your heart you gave away that got flushed down the plug hole. Oh the sweet painless irony…

Dr Bronner's Rose SoapDr Bronner’s Rose Soap

It’s rose-scented and it makes your skin soft, what more do you want? Dr Bronner’s Rose Soap is one of my favourite delicate scents in their range. It’s gentle enough to use on your face (especially if you suffer from acne and problem skin) as well as your body. Made with organic oils and certified Fair Trade, it has a permanent place by my bath tub.

Ingredients

Saponfied Organic Coconut Oil*, Saponified Organic Palm Oil*, Saponified Organic Olive Oil*, Organic Glycerin, Water, Organic Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Natural Rose Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Tocopherol (Vit. E). /* Certified Fair Trade by IMO.

Tea and chocolateYogi Choco Tea

At first I thought this would be the most gross thing I’ve ever tasted because I don’t like liquorice. It’s now my favourite tea in the whole world times a thousand. It actually tastes like chocolate but it’s tea. It’s wondrous and fantastical. I also like it that I have Choco Tea with milk. You definitely can’t have an indulgent St Valentine’s pamper night without a hot cup of tea. Or prosecco. One of the two at least.

Ecuadorian chocolateEcuadorian Dark Chocolate

I’m so cool I don’t buy £3 bars of dark chocolate, I buy Sainsbury’s brand! This one is actually really yummy and not bitter at all. It’s smooth and slightly fruity. Out of all the dark chocolate bars they produce from various obscure countries, this one is my BFF. A source of magnesium, antioxidants and good fat, you get your chocolate fix whilst crying in a bucket watching chick flicks and not feel like a pig!

Those are my recommendations for a St Valentine’s pamper night, I hope you like some of these products! Wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s Day x
