Perfect Pink Nails ft. Zoya Jolene
For the girls out there that like a good bright pink nail, then you might like this little pink number from Zoya. I had to refrain myself from likening it to Barbie’s trademark sugary sweet shade, but that is Zoya’s Jolene summed up in one word. My apologies to anyone that slightly cringed at the mention of wearing Barbie nails, I kinda did too, but I do believe it is possible to wear this colour without looking like Elle from Legally Blonde 🙂
The Zoya website describes Jolene as a “summery and bold cool toned girly pink cream” which sounds pretty much right to me! It’s bold, sassy and striking; perfect for adding a little extra something to a simple neutral-toned outfit. This colour would be so cute for beach days in the summer sunshine! I’ve found a really nice way to wear this vibrant pink is paired with nautical navy blue French stripes… very chic 🙂
Colour Family: Pink
Intensity: 5 ( 1 = Sheer – 5 = Opaque )
The colour intensity of the polish really is 5/5 as Zoya suggest, in the images above I only applied one coat rather haphazardly and the pigmentation is awesome! Little tip: I’d definitely recommend checking the Zoya website first to see their colour information including how intense the colours are, as each one really differs from shade to shade. I hadn’t noticed before until very recently and I’d say this probably also effects chipping as well.
Not bad at all! Pretty outstanding in fact… Zoya Jolene has officially made it to my top 3 green polishes for staying power. With only one coat of the polish applied and no top coat (out of sheer laziness) I have not had any chipping for 3 days! I can see this is going to be a well-worn colour this summertime. If you do wish to wear a top coat (which I would suggest for extra nail polish longevity and a beautiful glossy finish) then Zoya Armor Topcoat is a good one which also helps protect against yellowing UV rays 🙂
