Pai Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream

Pai Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream

Pai is a natural skincare brand I associate with luxury. All their products look beautiful and the natural ingredients they select sound amazing. I waited a while to try one of Pai’s infamous moisturisers (I feel like I am completely late to join the bandwagon!) but I finally got my hands on the Pai Geranium & Thistle Rebalancing Day Cream*.

Read on to see how I got on with this cream after testing for two months…

Pai day cream Packaging on point

My expectations were high for this brand. At a retail price of £34 for a 50ml bottle, it’s not cheap. I wondered if white doves wearing tiny gold crowns and diamond encrusted feathers might fly out on opening the box. Sadly, no. But I was happy to find a nice cold thick glass bottle.

Since first using it during the middle of August, the day cream has stayed lovely and cool. I didn’t realise before this new glass bottle experience, how nice and fancy it is to have refreshingly chilled moisturiser readily available to use on my face. I could just use the fridge and sit my moisturiser beside the milk. But this is just so lady-like.

The pump is good quality. The lid actually stays in place with a satisfying click. The thick glass is safe to put in your travel makeup bag without smashing. I threw mine in my suitcase and it survived. All the way to York and back. Rigorous test.

I thought I knew what a silky day cream felt like. I didn’t. This is liquid silk. On first application I suddenly understood the hype behind Pai. Kind of like when Frodo first touches the Ring, he’s like, this is amaze. It glides on, skin feels like the softest soft thing you’ve ever felt. Like the inside of a conker or peapod. Or a tiny cat’s paws. But times a million plus fifty nine.

The benefits

According to Pai, the benefits of using this day cream are:

  • Rebalances an oily T-Zone
  • Reduces the appearance of large pores
  • Clears persistent blemishes
  • Free from drying alcohols which can cause oil imbalance
  • Formulated for skin sensitive to irritating synthetics

Well did these hold true? I think I can concur. I think the above all sounds a bit too high-tech when really it’s just a damn awesome non-greasy cold cream.

Ingredients

All good 🙂

Worth the investment?

What I love the most about this day cream is it is non-comedogenic. It won’t clog pores and is fantastic for acne sufferers like myself. My hyper sensitive skin did not freak out and it didn’t give me the greaseball look. If you have the budget for this cream from Pai, I highly recommend the investment. I was not disappointed in the least! It’s available to purchase at Only Naturals.

Have you tried any Pai products? Let me know what you recommend!
