Some February Favs!

February Favourites

First of all, yes this is a week late! Second, yay my first favourites post wooo! I've been trying out a few new bits in February that I actually bought back in 2014 but I tend to trial products for a couple of months to decide whether it's working for me, especially in terms of skincare products. Also in the mix I have a film I have really enjoyed and jewellery I have been obsessed with... 1. Opalite Earrings - these are my favourite favourite favourite earrings of all time multiplied by one thousand and fifty nine twenty. They're beautiful. They're sparkly. [...]
Honeypie Minerals Mini Haul

Honeypie Minerals Mini Haul

On the hunt for a new matte contouring powder I came across this UK London-based brand, Honeypie Minerals. I had searched a few online green beauty stores but couldn't really find what I was looking for at a price I could afford, as I wanted a matte powder to replace my ex-love Bare Minerals 'Warmth' contouring loose powder. After learning about bismuth oxychloride, I realised that this compound may be one of the triggers for my terrible acne that broke out and just couldn't budge from my face! Luckily though, Honeypie Minerals do not contain bismuth oxychloride, talc, alcohol, parabens [...]
Yes To Grapefruit & Cucumber

Yes To Grapefruit and Cucumber

Yes To! That's what's I'm impressed with this month, because I have made new best friends with their Grapefruit Uneven Skin Tone CC Cream, and Cucumber Soothing Face Wipes. For about a year I have been fully devoted to Madara Moonflower Rose Beige Tinting Fluid (and quite rightly so, it's rather lovely) and I was actually a bit nervous that using a different tinting cream would make my skin have an adverse reaction... thankfully not, and I have been happily reaching for it most days. Yes To Grapefruit What is quite nice about the Yes To Grapefruit CC Cream when compared with the [...]
Green People Gold Shimmer Bronzer

Green People Gold Shimmer Bronzer

My latest, and only natural bronzer in my make-up collection! Until now I have been using only the Warmth loose powder from Bare Minerals to add a little colour to my pale complexion, since learning that my much loved Ecco Bella Flowercolour Blush in Nutmeg contains carmine (so annoying as it was so pretty). I also learned a couple of months back that bismuth oxychloride (CI 77163) is an irritant and synthetic compound which is, and most likely has been, contributing to my skin problems. I have since switched my loose mineral foundation powder to a bismuth oxychloride free brand, and now more [...]
Bellàpierre Eyeshadow Mineral Pots

Bellàpierre Everyday Shimmer Kit

A beautiful eyeshadow set from Bellàpierre, I bought this in the 'Pretty Woman' range - which includes three neutral shades, as I decided it would be the most versatile for creating both daytime and evening looks. I managed to grab this in TKMaxx for £9.99 (RRP £39.99) which was a bargain! Online I have noticed them in the sale for as low as £25 so if you can find them in TKMaxx, get one if you can! What the Kit Includes One of the first things that struck me about the kit, is how it really includes everything you would need [...]
Champagne and Raspberry

Champagne and Raspberry Makeup Look

As my make-up has been quite low-key lately, I thought I'd try and bring back a little glam! My family and I were heading out for lunch together for a New Year's meal, so it was the perfect excuse to use my Bellápierre Everyday Shimmer Kit in Pretty Woman to create a lovely champagne-shimmery eye-look paired with red raspberry lips :) The Base My base for the foundation is the same as usual (my everyday makeup routine explains it all!) - I use my Madara tinting fluid in Moon Flower Rose Beige and applied using my fingers. I then buffed [...]
Bellapierre Supergloss 4 Pack

Bellàpierre Super Gloss

When I saw this lipgloss set from Bellàpierre, I had heard of the brand but hadn't bought anything from them before, nor did I really know much about them. Reading the back of the pack, a quick skim through the ingredients I glanced at a few long chemical names I didn't recognise (bad sign) but was won over by the shiny green sticker on the front declaring it as Winner of the Natural Health Magazine 2014 Beauty Awards - so I was a sucker and decided to impulse buy and try them out (£12.99 from TKMaxx, RRP £34.99). Recently I haven't been [...]
Love Lula November Box

Love Lula November Box Review

It's the first of December, I've eaten my first advent calendar chocolate today, now I'm ready to roll with everything Christmas!! And right in cue I have also come down with my first cold bug of the season - so all these goodies I received in my November Love Lula box have come in handy to make myself feel pampered whilst I'm under the weather. Suti Cleanse Balm (50ml) This magical delightful pot of utter yum is IN-CREDIBLE! I had never heard of this brand before I tried this and wow it's so delicious. The blend they have come up [...]
Madara Moonflower Set

Madara Tinting Fluid Review

As someone who used to be inseparable with her MAC Studio Fix, I still find it amazing I can now happily use a sheer tinting fluid rather than a heavy-duty liquid foundation. This Madara tinting fluid has been a favourite and an everyday make-up staple of mine for two years! Choosing Which Shade Moon Flower Rose Beige Vs Sun Flower Golden Beige Initially I began using the Sun Flower Golden Beige shade, as I thought my pale complexion needed a boost and quite frankly, I was scared to look like the living dead should I actually wear a foundation colour [...]
Chemical Free Everyday Makeup

Everyday Makeup with Natural Products

Day-to-day I'm quite fuss-free with my make-up. I like to keep it very quick and simple especially as I'm not a morning person and so find myself with little time to get ready! This is the look I wear almost everyday for work and lazy weekends. It's also a great place to start for anyone that might like to swap to natural makeup but don't know what to buy first... The Bare Essentials Foundation Making the change from conventional petrochemical cosmetics, to all-natural skin-loving make-up can be a bit daunting especially if you have collected an amass of well-loved, pretty [...]
